An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our team of Pharmacy Assistants at Prince Charles Hospital, working within our distribution, logistics, and dispensary teams.
You will be required to work as part of the distribution, logistics, and dispensary teams.
Responsibilities include:
1. Checking ward/departments stock and replenishing to the required levels.
2. Covering the pharmacy goods delivery area, receiving and checking deliveries are correct.
3. Dispensing prescriptions for inpatients and outpatients and covering the pharmacy reception.
The successful candidate will have evidence of a good standard of general education and have attained a GCSE grade C or above in Mathematics and English (or equivalent). If not already held, they will be willing to work towards achieving an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services within an agreed timescale, which will mean doing a proportion of work in your own time to achieve this.
You will need to possess excellent communication skills, be self-motivated, and willing to develop with new ways of working. Attention to detail is important, and you must be able to work as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative and working in a professional and timely manner.
You will need to be able to work well under pressure and have a flexible approach to the needs of the service. Computer literacy is required, although appropriate training on pharmacy systems will be provided.
