Job Overview
Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)?
We are looking for a dedicated Job Coach to join our team on a Full-time only basis. In this role, you will support young people with SEND in developing work-based skills and achieving success in their work placements in a café.
The role will involve supporting special needs students in college cafe to facilitate and enable them to interact with customers and assist in providing clear instructions and training plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored coaching and support to learners with SEND in their work placements.
Collaborate with tutors, managers, employers, families, and external agencies to create a supportive work environment.
Assist learners in building essential skills, such as time management, customer service, and catering.
Conduct health and safety checks and create risk assessments for work placements.
Develop and adapt employability plans to meet individual needs, promoting growth and independence.
Support learners in overcoming barriers to employment and ensure their well-being at all times.
What Were Looking For:
Experience supporting young people with SEND in work settings.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to creating inclusive work opportunities for peoplewith SEND.
R elevant teaching or coaching qualifications (e.g., Level 4 CET or equivalent).
Experience in the hospitality industry is desirable.
You may be based at one of 2 locations Newham library or New Beans café Newham college.
