The Commercial Excellence Team at AstraZeneca AfriCAN cluster is a group of catalysts with a purpose of delivering exceptional work to bring our medicines to patients. We drive informed business decisions through insights based on accurate and reliable information.
What you’ll do?
The successful candidate will assist and work across the diverse needs of cross-functional stakeholders by employing efficient communication channels, enhancing information dissemination and KPI monitoring. You will play a crucial role in innovation by refining processes, adopting systems thinking, and embracing automation.
Some areas of focus for this role will include:
Manage CRM system:
* Ensure all data captured in CRM System is correct and complete. Monitor and maintain the quality and integrity of data collected.
* Maximize the benefits of existing tools and implement new/upgrade programmes for collecting, analysing, and presenting data products.
* Collaborate with support teams to resolve functional issues to ensure the CRM system supports the business effectively.
* Prepare all files for cycle load or other data loading required.
* Manage all relevant file loading processes to ensure correct data is available for all users.
* Meet all data recording requirements and ensure accuracy and currency of information.
* Define or document the data transformations and mappings between different data sources.
* Keep all administrative data in CRM system up to date.
Sales Force Incentive Compensation:
* Align sales incentive schemes with company strategy and guidelines.
* Ensure audit and compliance in line with business requirements.
* Conduct quarterly incentive compensation calculations and validation for the Cluster.
* Calculate sales incentives as stated in the Incentive SOP.
* Manage rewards and recognition calculations for the field force.
* Plan territory budget for MSRs across all Sales Force teams.
Segmentation & Targeting:
* Deliver segmentation and targeting based on business strategy.
* Provide strategic guidance for commercial optimization.
* Update target lists and align field force customer allocations.
Field Force Analytics & Digital:
* Provide analytical support for key business stakeholders.
* Customize and manage consolidated reporting according to local business needs.
* Manage territory sales and activity SFE reports and analysis.
* Provide insights to support decision making.
Provision of Support and Relevant Reports:
* Train all new medical reps and users to ensure they are competent in using the CRM system.
* Ensure users understand related SOPs for compliance.
* Resolve queries or issues reported to user satisfaction.
* Extract and distribute required reports to support decision making.
* Work with external providers to ensure customer database accuracy.
* Collaborate with IT to ensure proper user setup and resolve issues.
Optimize Stakeholder Relationships:
* Promote a high-quality organization image through expertise and responsiveness.
* Optimize relationships with key internal customers.
* Communicate effectively with all team members and share best practices.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
* Bachelor's degree in commerce or relevant qualification.
* 3-5 years' experience in Sales Force Effectiveness in the pharmaceutical environment.
* 3-5 years' experience in data analysis with proficiency in analytical software.
* Good MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Email, SAP advantageous).
* Attention to detail and deadline focused.
* Ability to analyze and evaluate data.
* Excellent time management and planning skills.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships.
* Ability to manage medium-sized projects.
Desirable:
* Advanced Degree (MBA).
