Job summary The Children, Young People and Maternity team is made up of three portfolio areas: Children & Young People (SEND/LD/Neuro), Children & Young Peoples Mental Health, and Maternity all working to improve outcomes for families across Gloucestershire. We are a large team with a range of expertise. We are offering an exciting opportunity for a new team member to join us as Children & Young Peoples Mental Health Programme Manager (1WTE 37.5hrs). Please note this is a fixed term role of 12 months to cover maternity leave. Main duties of the job This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to flourish in a fast-moving complex environment, working with colleagues within our local trusts and wider partnership across the system with both clinicians and non-clinicians. The post-holder will work within their specific portfolio area to provide and lead practical support in the development and execution of programmes and projects of transformational change, cost improvement and quality service improvement and redesign. Good knowledge and understanding of local authority processes and political context. Experience of managing complex operational and strategic workforce programmes. Experience of leading and motivating a team. Desirable At least 3 years management experience. Skills Essential Good knowledge of public health. Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills. Good knowledge of social care, (education (in the case of children and young people) as well as healthcare. Ability to analyse policy and research findings.
