If successful, you will be based in the Huntingdon Adult Locality Team to support the delivery of the 5 core workstreams which include; Vocation, Functional Assessment, Reablement, Sensory Approaches and remotivating. This is a part- time post (30 hours). All our Trust Occupational Therapy services use the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO) for assessment and treatment with a strong focus on better supporting patients in their recovery journey. If successful then your main role will be to provide specialised Occupational therapy assessments and interventions, encompassing the 5 workstreams: functional, reablement, vocational, sensory, and remotivation. You will work alongside other Occupational Therapist’s in the team to deliver 1:1 specialist intervention as well as group work, with the support from myself. As a Trust we have been investing in using sensory approaches to support Occupational Therapists to deliver targeted sensory modulation interventions, in collaboration with our patients and designed to support the management of the impact of physiological and psychological distress on daily life. This is currently being done through 1:1 and group work. The trust is also able to offer streams of peer and formal supervision (depending on qualification status) to clinicians to ensure quality sensory approaches intervention is delivered within the locality teams.
