Assistant Site Manager required for a new flagship Surrey development of 107 traditionally built low rise apartments and three story houses. Role Overview As an Assistant Site Manager, you will report to the Site Manager and Contracts Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to manage various aspects of a construction development site, ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer service. Key Responsibilities – Assist in the day-to-day management of the development site. – Implement and adhere to health and safety procedures. – Motivate and manage site staff, providing necessary training and support. – Maintain site presentation standards. – Ensure compliance with building regulations and warranty providers’ requirements. – Produce and update accurate production/progress reports. – Maintain comprehensive site records. – Inspect and ensure completion of remedial work before NHBC key stage inspections. Skills and Experience Required – Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager with a high-volume residential house builder. – Effective team management skills. – Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety and building legislation. – Strong communication and administrative skills. – Ability to work independently and as part of a team. – Proficient in IT, particularly Microsoft Office. Qualifications – GCSE Maths and English – Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent). – Valid CSCS card (or equivalent). – Valid SSSTS and First Aid certificates. – HNC Level 4 in Construction Management (HND desirable). – Scaffold Appreciation certificate (desirable)
