Data & Functions Technology Delivery exists to provide a broad range of data products to colleagues across the Society. We require an expert Senior Insight Consultant to develop and deliver insights and stories that support proposition development and problem resolution, as part of that team. You will be part of a community of analytical practitioners whose collective role is to enhance value through data and helping colleagues across the Society to unlock value by utilising your expert capability and skills. From a task perspective, you will be working in one of our Analytics teams, focussing on delivering shared outcomes that you have helped prioritise in collaboration with the business areas you help to support. You will be expected to provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to colleagues across the wider team to help grow collective capability in your core area of expertise. What you’ll be doing This means that your consulting, business engagement and stakeholder management expertise is as strong as your technical capability. We’re looking for someone who can determine the right statistical methods to apply across the data estate to deliver insightful outcomes, while ensuring communication with business users and colleague expectation is managed along the delivery journey. You’ll be able to identify opportunities to deliver ‘more’, where you may be working alongside others or on individual assignments and take ownership for ensuring things are done correctly. We expect you to lead and coach others by sharing your opinion and technical knowledge across the Society at every opportunity. About you We are looking for someone with experience within an analytics or insight environment. As a minimum requirement you’ll: Have experience reading and writing complex code using Base SAS, Enterprise Guide, Teradata Studio or Databricks, delivering outputs in complex multi-source data solutions. Excellent communication skills providing highly-effective subject matter expertise to both internal and external stakeholders, translating complex data findings to easily consumable stories that drive action. Experience of supporting those around you through line management, and coaching and mentoring experienced analysts within a fast paced environment.
