Brief Description
To provide day-to-day facilities and soft services management for all Route accommodation supporting the Route Property & Facilities Manager. Interfaces with Network Rail teams and local Facilities Management contractors to maintain agreed levels of delivery.
Key Accountabilities
1. Assist in the development and implementation of the total facilities management contract currently in place and help in maintaining and enhancing the facilities services strategy for workplace locations nationally.
2. Work with colleagues to maintain and enhance the total facilities management contract with specific reference to end-user customer experience and financial performance.
3. Oversee the management of the maintenance of workplace environment and facilities in compliance with corporate and statutory health and safety policies.
4. Advise on expenditure with respect to maintenance and renewal of the workplace environment and facilities.
5. Proactively develop and maintain relationships across the wider business.
6. Maintain and update full database information for each building on existing and anticipated issues.
7. Assess and recommend repairs, renewals, and improvement works.
Minimum Requirements
Essential:
- Holder of NEBOSH or relevant health and safety qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities management
- Excellent communication skills
Desirable:
- British Institute of Facilities Management member
- Proven contract management skills
- Proven experience of managing complex budgets
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Knowledge of policies and standards relating to office accommodation
- Proven negotiation skills
- Full driving licence
