D3 is a 16-bedded ward which specializes in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery.
Working closely alongside other Wards within the Orthopaedic Department to look after the needs of patients admitted to these wards from across North Hampshire.
Previous experience in this area is not essential as in-house training will be provided to ensure you are fully equipped to meet the demands of this role.

Main duties of the job
* To ensure the bed space is prepared prior to patients arriving on the ward so that the area is safe and presentable to the patient, i.e., checking the area has been cleaned and bed linen is clean and made.
* Assist with the ordering and serving of patient meals to ensure all patients receive appropriate nutrition while on the ward.
* Report any damaged/faulty equipment to the works department and coordinate any maintenance work/requests for work to aid in the smooth running of the ward.
* Maintain ward stocks of linen by communicating with linen services to ensure appropriate levels of linen are available on the ward and ensure the linen received is of good quality and stored/disposed of in line with trust policies.
