Job Description
All service works including high complex service tasks such as commissioning, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs.
Works closely with the factory and Tech Leads to drive first time fix rate.
Proactively identifies potential equipment failures and implements corrective actions. Troubleshoots complex equipment failures and makes recommendations to prevent recurrence. Suggests improvements for product quality and customer service, discussing them with management for implementation.
Builds and maintains good relationships with customers, understanding their needs. Identifies new sales opportunities and influences clients to consider the complete service portfolio. Ensures high standards of HSE practices, working to eliminate unsafe practices and incidents.
Attends customer operator training courses as necessary. Participates in a 24/7 on-call rota.
Responsible for tools and all company equipment in their possession. Completes job reports and returns to the office within 2 working days.
The Successful Applicant
* At least 2 years of experience as a field engineer working on UPS systems or MV switchgear, with knowledge of power electronics.
* Experience working on Medium Voltage applications.
* Clean driving license.
* Strong communication skills with customers.
* Ability to collaborate with colleagues.
* Excellent personal organization skills.
* Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
* Strong sense of accountability.
* Experience working in a team environment.
* Experience in training apprentices and less experienced engineers (desirable).
