As a Lidl Senior Cost & Data Consultant, you’ll be responsible for the operational budget planning and analytics for the Procurement Department. From overseeing cost accounts to providing commentary for deviation, your role will be essential in successfully delivering the procurement strategy. You’ll also be adept at communicating and building great rapport with national and international stakeholders.

What you'll do
1. Manage operational and capital expenditure accounts.
2. Identify and understand spend drivers through in-depth analysis.
3. Oversee the cross-departmental Operational Budget planning process.
4. Collaborate with stakeholders on monthly budget updates and mid-year financial plan revisions.
5. Prepare and deliver comprehensive reporting and Procurement KPI reports.
6. Act as the point of contact for cost management between Procurement and relevant internal departments.
7. Ensure the organization's internal cost management procedures are accurate and well maintained.
8. Present financial updates to Senior Management when required.
9. Oversee the update and any relevant communication of all Cost Management tools.
10. Liaise with category managers to identify and implement cost saving potential.
11. Provide advice and guidance for category managers on cost management topics.
12. Work on strategic projects with high level of autonomy and leadership as well as with high level of exposure to Board of Directors within Lidl GB.
13. Work with main business stakeholders to identify service optimisation and value improvement opportunities.
14. Provide support to the wider team throughout the year.
What you'll need
1. Experience working in an analytical role with a track record of successfully managing cost and data analysis projects.
2. Ability to problem-solve.
3. Interpersonal skills to build relationships, manage expectations and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
4. Exemplify a strong attention to detail, thoroughness, and analytical skills.
5. Expertise in creating clear and concise reports and dashboards.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently and to tight deadlines.
8. Proficient knowledge of Excel and familiarity with VBA.
9. Familiarity with Accounting principles and practices is desirable.
10. Comfortable challenging existing processes and implementing change.
11. Ability to work with Word, PowerPoint.
12. Driving licence is desirable.
