SEN Teaching Assistant
Area: Stoke-on-Trent, ST3
Day Rate: £90- £105
Days: Monday - Friday (Term Time Only)
Contract: Long term to Perm
Start: 6/1/2025
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for SEND? Do you specialise in KS1 or KS2 and are looking for a new opportunity to support young children with SEN? Our esteemed partner primary school in central Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join from January. This role will continue for the remainder of the academic year, with the possibility of a permanent position for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs.
- Create and adapt engaging learning activities to meet the individual needs of pupils.
- Lead interventions for groups of learners, including phonics and reading sessions.
- Build strong, positive relationships with staff, students, and parents.
- Offer support to pupils with ASD, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
- Work with individuals or small groups of students both within the classroom and in other learning settings.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or degree.
- Experience working with children in KS1 or KS2.
- Experience supporting students with special educational needs.
