Workshop Controller - Bodyshop
Up to £50,000 OTE £55,000
Location: Darlington
Permanent position, Monday to Friday

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Bodyshop Workshop Controller, who possesses the experience and knowledge of working in the accident repair market, to join a growing repair group.
Our client is an expert within the accident repair market and due to growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Automotive Bodyshop manager, who is experienced in managing an efficient, BSI approved site. A strong bodyshop / accident repair background is essential.
The Job: Workshop Controller / Bodyshop Controller
1. Liaise with production staff to monitor the number of vehicles coming into the site for repair.
2. You will be responsible for the scheduling of workflow for a site that has 20 skilled technicians within the bodyshop, combining Panel beaters, MET Technicians, and Paint sprayers.
3. The role is responsible for ensuring all incoming work is planned as well as managing the time and resource.
4. As a Workshop Controller, you will assign technicians, panel beaters, MET Technicians, Vehicle Paint Sprayers, etc., to tasks ensuring productivity is maximised and that deadlines are adhered to.
5. Plan your workload effectively to ensure vehicles are ready to agree timescales.
6. Carry out work in accordance with manufacturers' specifications.
7. Optimum utilisation of resources within the area of responsibility as set out in targets.
8. To deliver the customer service standards as outlined by the company procedures and policies.
9. Ability to monitor and control workshop output and efficiencies.
10. Verbal explanation of the repair procedure and process to the workshop and customers at variable levels of understanding.
Job Experience Required:
1. Skills in applying and using knowledge in a supervisory position.
2. Knowledge and understanding of the provisions of E.P.A. and H&S. BSI PAS 101, Advance, preferred.
3. Experience in dealing with and resolving Health & Safety issues.
