SEN Teaching Assistant – Early Years Foundation Stage
A primary school in Vauxhall (L5) is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a child with special educational needs (SEN) in the EYFS setting.
Job Description
This role involves offering tailored support to a child with English as an Additional Language (EAL) and significant SEN requirements. The child currently receives support outside the classroom, and your responsibilities will include familiarising yourself with existing support plans to facilitate their smooth transition into classroom activities.
The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, commencing in February 2025. Working hours are from 8:45 am to 3:15 pm. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the school’s SENCO to ensure the child receives appropriate and effective support. Strong communication skills will be essential for liaising with the child’s parents. This role offers competitive hourly pay of £12.90 - £13.50.

* Show a willingness to engage in professional development through the school’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme.
