The Charity offers a broad range of services tailored to meet individual needs.We are looking to appoint a Psychological Therapist to work collaboratively with our multi-professional team at our Marine Court site to deliver our residential programmes providing therapeutic intervention and education to groups and individuals, both in person and digitally. No employee contribution is required)Optional salary sacrifice pension contribution schemePaid Annual leave: 25 days’ holiday rising to 27 plus Bank Holidays (prorated)Life assurance: 3 x basic salaryAccess to wellbeing support tools The RoleAs a Psychological Therapist, you will be tasked with providing exceptional short-term psychological support to members of the fire and rescue community.Working via online and telephone interventions and centre-based activities, you will form part of our incredible multi-professional team to ensure our service users get the right support, delivered in the right way and at the right time. You will provide group and 1:1 support to improve psychological health and wellbeing. You will also work digitally to triage risk, assess need and identify treatment plans for service users accessing mental health services. You will be one of two Psychological Therapists in the services team based at Marine Court, and be a member of the wider Psychological Services team across the Charity. About YouTo be considered as a Psychological Therapist, you will need:A recognised qualification in psychology (clinical, counselling or health psychology), counselling or psychotherapyTo be a registered member of an appropriate professional body (psychological, counselling or psychotherapy)Evidence of current continuing professional development appropriate to the roleTo be an integrative practitioner with experience of working within the mental health fieldSuccessful experience of utilising a range of evidence-based brief interventions to meet different needs, irrespective of individual therapeutic orientationExperience working in a multi-professional team delivering holistic interventions, alongside physical health and social welfare practitionersExperience of conducting telephone assessments and risk assessmentsExperience of delivering individual and group interventions aimed at improving psychological wellbeingThe demonstrable ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels both verbally and in writing, together with sound judgment skillsTo be IT competent, able to use standard Microsoft packages and Customer Relationship Management / electronic recordkeeping systemsExcellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise your workloadThe ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a multi-professional team Please noteAn Enhanced DBS check will be required prior to commencing your role.
