Lead Planner Opportunity - General Contractor - Engineering & Construction
My client is a well-established general contractor with an impressive portfolio of international projects. Having experienced exceptional growth over the past few years, they continue to secure high-profile contracts and are seeking a Lead Planner to have oversight of their UK planning team and projects.
Roles & Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic oversight for all planning activities across the company's project portfolio
* Take hands-on planning leadership for major projects
* Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using MS Project and Primavera P6
* Represent the company in client-facing situations during pre-construction, tendering and planning phases
* Lead tender submissions with detailed planning input and program development
* Monitor progress against baselines and provide accurate forecasting of completion dates
* Identify potential delays and implement recovery strategies to maintain project timelines
* Support tender submissions with detailed planning input and program development
* Oversee planning for end to end builds including shell & core builds and M&E works
* Provide regular, detailed reports to senior management and key stakeholders
Essential experience: Strong experience using P6 for large scale construction projects in order to support preconstruction works and client facing responsibilities
