Full-Time PE Teacher – Secondary School GSL Education are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a PE Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive secondary school in Basingstoke, Hampshire. The role is available to start from February/Easter, depending on notice periods, and offers a competitive salary range from £30k to £50k per year, based on experience, from ECT through to the Upper Pay Scale. A permanent contract will be offered following a successful probation period. Responsibilities of a Physical Education Teacher: Deliver dynamic and engaging PE lessons across a variety of sports and activities. Develop, plan, and implement lesson plans that promote fitness and wellbeing. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them improve. Foster a safe and positive environment that encourages participation, teamwork, and respect. Work collaboratively with other staff to create an inclusive and supportive school community. Participate in extracurricular sports programs and events. Take an active role in promoting the physical health and well-being of students. Keep up to date with the latest PE curriculum developments and pedagogical practices. Required Qualifications for a PE Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong passion for Physical Education and sport. Experience teaching PE at the secondary school level (ECTs are encouraged to apply). Ability to create and deliver engaging lessons that inspire students to be active. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. Ability to motivate and build positive relationships with students. A commitment to fostering student well-being and personal development. A collaborative and proactive approach to working with colleagues. Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
