Job Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
* Location: Telford, Shropshire
* Pay Rate: Up to £12.82 per hour (DOE)
* Hours: 8:45am – 3:15pm
* Flexible Work Opportunities: Full-time, part-time, and day-to-day positions available
Who Are We?
Excell Supply is a leading education recruitment agency in North Wales, and we are actively recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistants to support children in primary and secondary schools across Wrexham. You will be assigned a dedicated Account Manager who has strong relationships with local schools to help match you with the right opportunities.
What Will You Be Doing?
* Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, and other learning difficulties
* Assisting with daily classroom activities and ensuring a positive learning environment
* Encouraging and supporting students to engage with their learning, both academically and socially
* Providing tailored support based on each pupil’s individual learning needs
* Working closely with teachers and other staff to monitor progress and implement strategies
* Promoting positive behaviour management techniques
What We’re Looking For:
* A passion for working with children with SEN
* Relevant experience in a similar role (working with SEN children is desirable)
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils
* Patience, empathy, and adaptability
* A Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 1, 2, or 3) is desirable but not essential
* The right to work in the UK
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
