Deputy Care Home Manager
Salary: Up to £47,500
40 hours per week, includes supernumerary hours
Our client provides specialist nursing care older adults with dementia and mental health care needs, the service currently holds a Good CQC rating - They are now on the loom for a Deputy Nurse Manager. The ideal candidate for the Deputy Care Home Manager position will be a strong and dedicated nurse manager, passionate about leading a diverse team and committed to delivering high-quality care.
They will possess a wealth of clinical experience and the ability to inspire and motivate staff to achieve their full potential. This individual will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of mental health care, and the ability to create a positive and safe environment for both residents and staff.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Experience: Experience within a mental health environment is preferred.
* Qualifications: Nursing qualification (RGN or RMN) and a valid NMC Pin
* Values & Leadership: A commitment to supporting and leading a diverse team, with demonstrable managerial experience (Unit Manager, Deputy Nurse Manager, Clinical Lead Nurse).
* Health & Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with health, safety, and risk management in care services.
* Environment-Building Skills: The ability to create a safe, harmonious environment for both staff and residents.
* Relationship-Building Skills: Experience fostering positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and other health and social care professionals.
As the Deputy Care Home Manager you will support the Registered Manager in overseeing the overall management of the service. Key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring the highest quality of care through person-centred care plans, supporting all staff to reach their full potential.
* Providing leadership, effective organization, training, and ongoing support to all staff under supervision.
* Fostering a work environment that aligns with the organization's values, aims, and objectives, striving to make a positive impact on residents' lives and the overall unit environment.
* Maintaining a safe, structured, and respectful environment where residents receive holistic care.
* Planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions tailored to the needs of residents.
* Monitoring care and service quality to ensure standards are consistently met.
* Actively participating in clinical and multi-disciplinary team meetings to maintain cohesive care delivery.
* Upholding high standards of nursing in clinical procedures and treatments, in accordance with clinical governance and effectiveness practices.
