An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our clinical Pharmacy Team as a Clinical Pharmacy Assistant based in Main Pharmacy at Maidstone Hospital.
The postholder will support the ward Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians, carrying out a variety of ward based tasks and activities including;
• Facilitating the return of medication from wards which includes screening and processing returns for recycling or disposal
• Undertaking ward medicines security audits and fridge temperature monitoring to ensure the cold chain is maintained
• Communication with ward staff and directing enquiries to appropriate member of pharmacy team
• Sharing discharge information with Community Pharmacists
• Supporting the transfer of patients’ medication between wards
• Support with ward based dispensing
• Ad hoc stock requests.
You should be quick-learning, have a high degree of accuracy and be self-driven with excellent organisational and time management skills.
