Please note that frequent travel to the US & Europe will be required in this role.
The Role
Reporting into the Head of Culinary Excellence, this is a stand-alone NPD & Process Manager position. With a strong inclination towards process and production, you will be working in collaboration with co-manufacturers in a hands-on way. Coordinating trials, overseeing the production lines and scaling up products are all key elements to this role.
Working closely with trusted co-manufacturers across the world, you will oversee the implementation of new products, from concept to first production. This will include frequent travel to international sites, where you will forge trusted relationships with key suppliers, overseeing the implementation of new production lines, conducting trials and coordinating testing. You will liaise cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to anticipate hurdles and ultimately manage the full NPD process.
This will be coupled with working closely with the culinary team, whom you will help to develop and review exciting new profitable concepts with. You will also play an important role in communicating and presenting to key clients. Always seeking innovative solutions, you will ensure new concepts are delicious, cost effective and of the highest quality. You will also communicate with internal teams, gaining insights from sales, and technical functions to ensure new concepts are inline with company standards and client expectations.
Along with your involvement in creating exciting new concepts, you will also have input with packaging concepts, always looking to consider innovative solutions that are cost effective and sustainable. This will also include overseeing the implementation of new packaging lines into 3rd parties to ensure this goes hand in hand with the launch of new products.
The Person
We’re seeking a food industry professional who has gained valuable experience in hands-on manufacturing environments. Educated to a degree level within food science or a related field, you’ll have extensive concept through to launch experience within a fast-paced food business.
Whether you’re an NPD Manager with a strong understanding manufacturing background, or a Process Manager who has managed the implementation of new production lines, we’re looking for someone who understands the full product lifecycle and is passionate about launching delicious products. You’ll be able to draw upon your NPD and Technical understanding to anticipate hurdles and find solutions with suppliers. Ideally, you’ll have an abundance of experience working with 3rd party suppliers, onboarding and nurturing these partnerships to ensure successful launches can take place.
Excellent presentation and project management skills, as well as previous experience within a client facing role. Great interpersonal and communication skills as you’ll be working closely with internal teams to drive projects forward.
