We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our sales team within our Seating division. As a part of a team of Account managers, you will work with internal and external customers and lead sales activities for Trim programs to ensure delivering profitable results. Your main scope will be related to building reliable relationships with External Customers and Lear Business Units, negotiating projects and contracts, working on commercial issues, and ensuring program profitability. Position is based in Coventry.
Responsibilities:
* Build up reliable customer relationships with Lear Business Units and external customers at decider level.
* Manage Sales Account with P&L responsibility via pricing maintenance and profitability ownership.
* Negotiate series projects and contracts with customers on Senior Management level.
* Manage negotiation and closure of commercial issues with timely conclusions.
* Improve, monitor, and track program profitability (margin improvement) from award to SOP.
* Deliver program(s) with committed financial metrics.
* Deliver Engineering change quotations respecting agreed customer timeline.
* Negotiate Engineering change requests.
* Maintain internal reporting such as Plant improvement plans, growth plans, APR's, LPMP, etc.
* Support PAR approvals.
* Report out program commercial status to senior level.
* Create strong link between trim plant and Lear BU/external customer.
* Support material excess management.
Qualifications:
* Degree qualification in engineering/business studies.
* Automotive Seating, Trim, or similar highly complex commodity experience in Commercial, Program Management or Engineering capacity preferred.
* Experience in Account management/commercial negotiation.
* Advanced Excel skills including macros.
* Ability to manage multiple complex issues and prioritize correctly under pressure.
* Highly organized analytical and strategic thinker.
* Excellent communication and negotiating competencies.
* Independent, cost-conscious, effective, and meticulous way of working.
