Safety, Health, and Environmental Compliance & Risk Officer
A full-time permanent vacancy has arisen within our Quality Assurance Department. Working: Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4.30pm.
Job Requirements:
The role of the Safety, Health and Environmental Compliance and Risk Officer is to ensure that the company is conducting its business in full compliance with national and international laws and regulations that pertain to business needs. In addition, the role supports other departments by collecting appropriate compliance data.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Monitor SHE/Compliance & Risk strategies, policies, and programmes that promote sustainable development.
* Manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, risk assessments, management systems, and delivery of all SHE/Compliance activities effectively and efficiently.
* Liaise with regulatory bodies and internal/external business customers, ensuring that all key performance measures and objectives are achieved regarding SHE/Compliance and Risk.
* Advise Management on all legal and other requirements relating to SHE/Compliance legislation in the workplace.
* Monitor the investigation of accidents and review statistics pertaining to such with management to apply and assess corrective actions for health, safety, and the environment.
Minimum Level of Education Required
* Extensive knowledge of effective SHE management strategies and best practices.
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a SHE role within a manufacturing environment.
* Detailed understanding and proven capability in environmental legislation and ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
