Responsibilities
* The position will cover all family law matters including but not limited to divorce, equitable distribution, alimony, custody and child support related issues, relocation issues, pre-marital agreements, domestic violence matters, grandparents’ rights, and adoption.
* The Associate will work directly with clients preparing legal documents, including petitions, motions, and affidavits.
* Writing and researching legal issues for pleadings, ascertaining experts, and preparing and reviewing discovery.
* Provide guidance and counsel to clients through effective communication.
* Travel to different courts in Bucks, Montgomery, Philadelphia, Delaware, and Lehigh counties.
Qualifications:
* The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of family law experience and a book of business.
* Strong analytical, drafting, writing, and research skills.
* Must have excellent people skills and the ability to think on his or her feet.
* Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to work in a deadline-driven practice are required.
* Must have demonstrated the ability to work independently, as part of a team, and the interpersonal skills to interact directly with clients.
* Must be licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; New Jersey admission is a plus.
