Job overview
A flexible approach to work is an essential part of the post, in line with Medical Imaging Service Policy of promoting the extended working day/week to benefit our patients.
The Radiology Department is fully committed to effective appraisal and any training and development will be actively encouraged and supported.
Working with a team of highly committed staff, to provide a first class and effective reception and booking service within Radiology.
Main duties of the job
1. Provide administrative/reception service support to facilitate the patient pathway.
2. Work flexibly across services to provide a booking service, process clinic changes, call centre cover, processing of referrals and undertaking a range of general admin tasks.
3. Build and maintain close working relationships across the clinical administrative teams, using Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure functions of the role are carried out correctly and within given timescales.
4. Ensure accurate data recording using the Patient Administration System (PAS) and E-referral and other systems; and via the use of Patient Tracking Lists (PTLs) book outpatient/inpatient events in accordance with clinical instruction and national/local waiting time target dates.

Qualifications/Training
* Either a minimum of 3 GCSEs including English and Maths at Grade C or above or a qualification at an equivalent level.
* IT/Keyboard qualification or able to demonstrate through experience.
Knowledge and Experience
* Previous office/clerical work.
* Experience of working in a Hospital.
* Knowledge of the Patient Administration System.
* Experience of working unsupervised.
