Migdale Transport Ltd is seeking a skilled and dedicated Master (Master 500) to oversee the operation of a wellboat transporting live salmon, trout, lumpfish, and wrasse throughout mainland UK, Shetland & Orkney Islands, Western Isles, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Faroe Islands, and France. This exciting opportunity combines maritime leadership with the critical role of ensuring the health and welfare of live fish during transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely navigate the wellboat and manage all aspects of live fish transport.
* Lead and train crew members, ensuring compliance with the company’s Safety Management System (SMS).
* Promote environmental protection and fish welfare through safe and sustainable practices.
* Collaborate with the Chief Engineer to oversee vessel maintenance and dry dock operations.
Requirements:
* Certificate of Competence as Master 500 (minimum).
* Valid STCW certificates and ENG 1 Medical Certificate.
* Experience in aquaculture operations or live fish transportation is an advantage.
* Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
