SALARY £38500 - £44000
Are you an experienced in procurement with a knack for engineering and manufacturing environments? We are seeking a dynamic Engineering Buyer to support our engineering operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Liaise with Engineering and Production colleagues to analyse BoMs and implement these into robust supply chain solutions
• Define, negotiate, and implement procurement strategies Establish structured and regular reviews with suppliers to present performance results and drive improvement plans
• Aid with new machine introduction. Identify service, critical spares. Management of critical spares.
• Development of strategic supplier database to keep a competitive marketplace utilising low-cost sources.
• Introduce and manage stores management system. Provide training to engineering team to aid store control.
Skills and Experiences:
• Experience in purchasing/procurement within an engineering/manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and identify parts from technical drawings Strong negotiation skills
• Proactive problem solver, skilled in making informed decisions and finding innovative solutions
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with hands-on experience in Excel
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm. 40hrs per week.
Salary:
£38500 - £44000 negotiable depending on experience
