We are currently seeking a European Field Application Scientist who will be responsible for pre- and post-sales support for the Molecular Devices BioPharma product line that includes hardware, software and reagents. What well get you doing: Provide in-field assistance to the BioPharma Sales team for pre- and post- sale technical activities, as well as technical direction and support to customers on instrument operation, assay implementation, and maintenance of company products. Train our BioPharma customers on our instruments, assays and connectivity solutions into customer laboratories and provide support to the customer during the evaluation and implementation to ensure customer satisfaction. Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations of BioPharma instrumentation, software, and reagents to current and potential customers working collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Technical Support, Service, and global business units to identify and assess customer needs and to provide high quality customer care that exceeds expectations. Jointly develop account strategies with Sales Representatives aimed at increasing Molecular Devices business and retaining current business by assisting with technical seminars and presentations at customer sites, trade shows and workshops to drive thought leader adoption of Molecular Devices technology. Follow normal standard of work for documentation and customer complaint handling while ensuring installation and customer management database is updated with full activity traceability. The essential requirements of the job include: Bachelors degree in field with 5 years of related work experience OR Masters degree in field with 3 years of related work experience OR Doctoral degree in field with 0-2 years of related work experience.Related work experience as a Microbiologist or Cell Line Development (Scientist), and/or applying molecular and microbiology techniques using current technology for documentation and communication. Demonstrated excellent project management skills. Demonstrated excellent customer relations/service skills. Ability to independently manage assigned territory to include travel and scheduling.
