Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our friendly, hard working team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanics and have an NVQ level 3. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Ideally, the candidate will be an MOT tester; however, if not, they will be put through their MOT training.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles.
2. Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
3. Perform inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate.
4. Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts used.
5. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
6. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in mechanical technology.
7. MOT testing.
Requirements
1. Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role.
2. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, engines, and electrical components.
3. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
4. Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
7. Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanics or automotive technology are preferred.
8. A valid driving licence.
