An engaging and rare opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual who is highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Anaesthetic & Recovery practitioner. We need someone who is caring and compassionate, committed to high standards of patient care and has a flexible attitude to work? You must be either a RGN or ODP with preferably Obstetrics and Gynaecology experience in order to lead in this fast paced and fun unit.
Our unit consists of 3 theatres with a 4th theatre currently under construction and specialises in providing high quality care to patients undergoing Obstetric, benign Gynaecology, and Gynae Oncology procedures. We also operate using the innovative Da Vinci Robotic system which is located in the main theatre complex.
We work closely with the wider multi-disciplinary team including specialities such as Urology, Colorectal, Plastics and Vascular. Our team have close links with the Gynaecology team and our award winning Maternity team.

We seek a committed and flexible individual who can demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and have outstanding clinical skills. You must be an effective communicator and hold great organisational skills. As an experienced Anaesthetic & Recovery practitioner you will demonstrate excellent knowledge, skills and be proactive and visible in order to build and form good relationships with your team and with the wider MDT.
In this role you will be responsible for the day to day running of one of our theatres and also be required to coordinate the elective and emergency service provision by working collaboratively with anaesthetists, clinicians, midwives and the ward in providing effective management of elective and emergency patients.
Sharoe Green theatres work on a 24/7 basis to cover Gynae and obstetric emergencies therefore you must be a confident and strong leader who can provide support to junior staff out of hours as part of the unit’s out of hours rota and manage a varied and demanding workload and provide clear direction to your team.

Assist and support the Clinical Manager in the safe and effective management of the service including management of staff, facilities and associated systems and processes.
Communicate all relevant information to the multidisciplinary team internally and with external organisations as required, to ensure seamless care.
Acts as a role model presenting a positive image of self, the team and the organisation.
Be responsible for the delivery and co-ordination of care, making optimal use of operating sessions. Identify potential bottlenecks and facilitate smooth patient flow through the department.
Set, monitor and maintain standards of care to improve the patient experience and outcome of care.
Proactively manage risk and maintain patient safety, conforming to health, safety and security legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines.
Please note the role requires the following shifts to be undertaken: days, weekends, evenings and nights.
