We are looking for someone with experience in the highway or construction industry to join our Seamer Depot as a Highways Skilled Operative with LGV / Skilled Operative (Lead 2 Person Crew). The Seamer team are proud to offer their services to the largest county in the UK and are dedicated to contributing to our local community and the preservation of the natural beauty and history of the area. The team work on projects across the local area including resurfacing works of footways, drainage improvements and drain replacements. As a Highways Skilled Operative you will: Lead a small team of 2 Highways Operatives to complete a variety of works including kerbing, drainage installation, patching, ironwork renewal, street furniture installation and more. You will contribute to general maintenance tasks including but not limited to site maintenance, excavating holes and trenches, traffic management, maintaining roadside verges and operating relevant equipment for a wide range of routine and cyclical works. This role involves participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota for emergencies and winter maintenance activities, and therefore it is desirable that the successful candidate hold a current Drivers Licence with access to personal transport.
