Salary: £12.75 an hour Duration: 8 week Fixed Term Contract until 7 September 2025 Hours: 300 hours across the contract/ average of 37.5 hours a week. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in equal instalments over the contract. You will work 4-6 days a week, on a rota system. This role will involve work at weekends and on bank holidays - as these are the busiest and most exciting times at Ilam Park. What it's like to work here Reporting to the White Peak Senior Visitor Experience Officer, you’ll work within our Visitor Experience Team made up of the Senior Visitor Experience Officer, another Programming Assistant, our Welcome Manager and the Welcome and Service Assistant Team at Ilam Park. What you'll be doing You will work as a team to set up Ilam Park for summer, creating a festival feeling by installing bunting, flags, bell tents and plenty of play equipment. During the summer holidays you will be responsible for delivering a number of drop in craft workshops as part of our Summer of Arts project, inspired by Bruce Asbestos’s installation we will be hosting. As part of these workshops you will be engaging our visitors in the Summer of Art project encouraging visitors to interact with the installation and the other creative play hubs around the park. For this year's Summer of Play national programming event, we are dedicated to a fun and immersive experience, creating play zones across the park to ensure delight at every turn. During the weekdays you will be responsible for setting up play equipment, checking it throughout the day and engaging with families on the many different play opportunities around the park. You will also work alongside our volunteer teams who support our welcome roles, run our bookshop and support our delivery of events. At weekends, you will also be on hand to welcome and support visiting suppliers who will deliver a range of play based workshops. Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key. You’ll help link everything we do back to our cause and the on-going work we do. You’ll deliver high standards of presentation on site and ensure all our communications with our visitors around the property are clear and consistent.
