As a Senior Physiotherapist at Birmingham City Football Club, you will play a key role in delivering best-in-class physiotherapy services, with a focus on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement. You’ll work in close collaboration with our Head of Physio, Head of Medical and Performance, coaching staff, and sports science team to ensure players are fit, healthy, and ready to perform at the highest level.
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities of the role:
* Provide expert physiotherapy services including injury assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention strategies.
* Develop and oversee individualised rehab programs for safe return-to-play outcomes.
* Implement tailored recovery strategies that promote long-term health and peak performance.
* Deliver pitch-side physiotherapy for training and matchdays, home and away.
* Work with coaches, sports scientists, and strength & conditioning staff to monitor fitness and optimise performance.
* Collaborate with Academy physios to support transitioning players and ensure medical continuity.
* Guide players in injury prevention, movement mechanics, and maintaining overall physical health.
* Keep accurate and compliant medical records for all players.
* Stay current with emerging practices and integrate new methodologies to enhance physiotherapy services.
* Mentor and support junior physiotherapy staff and contribute to a strong, collaborative medical department.
What are we looking for from you?
* Degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent) with relevant postgraduate qualifications.
* HCPC registration and CSP membership.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in professional sport, including 2+ years in football or high-performance environments.
* Expertise in musculoskeletal injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.
* Deep understanding of evidence-based physiotherapy, injury prevention, and recovery protocols.
