Sewell Wallis are delighted to be partnering with a well-renowned organisation in Sheffield, who operate within the Sports Industry as they look to recruit a Senior Accounts Assistant to join their supportive team on a full-time permanent basis.
This is an exciting role, with the successful candidate being responsible for processing all financial accounts and transactions for the organisation. The role will support department budget holders and have responsibility across the management of accounts payable, journal posting, online banking and BACS payments.
What will you be doing?
1. Manage accurate financial systems & records, including:
2. Production of Management Reports
3. Compilation of Annual Departmental Budgets
4. Cash Book Coding & Analysis
5. Production and inputting of Normal Journals
6. Maintenance of year-end analysis schedule for external audit
7. Bank Statements/Reconciliation
8. Participate in financial audits
9. People management responsibility for the Administration Support Officers
10. Petty Cash
11. Invoicing and purchase orders
What skills are we looking for?
1. Proficient in Sage 50
2. Strong literacy, numeracy, and PC skills (intermediate Excel proficiency).
3. Prior experience in a similar role
4. AAT qualified or latter stages (desirable)
5. People management/experience working as a Senior within a team.
