Job Type: Sessional, Permanent
Hours: 21 hours per week until 31st August 2025, hours will be reviewed annually
Teaching hours: 510 per annum actual, 850 full time equivalent

About the role:
The Foundation Pathways Department is a thriving and successful department delivering Entry to Level 1 ESOL and Citizenship to 16 -18 year old ESOL students. We are seeking to appoint a Foundation Pathways ESOL specialist to deliver on our Resolve programme.
Key Responsibilities:
* To teach on a range of programmes, providing high-quality learning opportunities that meet the needs of individual students/apprentices and groups in line with the College’s strategic priorities and objectives.
* To provide flexible assessment opportunities and closely plan, monitor, track and record student/apprentice retention, achievement, and success.
* To contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality, relevant curriculum and programmes. Curriculum Development responsibilities include:
o Actively contributing to the development of new programmes within the curriculum area
o Producing annual schemes of work and/or training plans for all subjects/programmes to be taught
To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:
* Degree or equivalent qualification in ESOL or a relevant area
* Teaching Qualification or willing to work towards
* Ability to meet targets within set timescales
* Ability to work well in teams but also to work independently, with the minimum of supervision
