SEN Teaching Assistant A specialist school in the S11 area is looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant from now until the end of the school year to support students with ASD and various social, emotional, mental health (semh) and behavioural needs As a teaching assistant at this school, your duties will require you to supervise the pupils throughout the school day, encourage the pupils to engage with their education, build positive relationships with the pupils, and calm down hyper-active behaviour. You may be required to work 1:1 with a certain pupil, small groups or provide more general classroom support. The school would be interested in a candidate who has previous experience supporting children or adults who display challenging behaviours. This role would be suitbale for applicants with a background in Education, Sports, Carers, Residential support workers, Youth Workers and those with the experience within the Prison system or the Military.
