A Speech, Language and Communication Mentor plays a crucial role in supporting students with communication difficulties. Working under the supervision of a qualified Speech, Language and Communication Therapist, to implement and deliver therapy plans and interventions. Speech, Language and Communication Mentors assist in the assessment process by gathering information about the students' communication skills and needs, helping to deliver speech and language therapy activities and exercises as directed by the therapist.
