About The Role
Our Agricultural Litigation team is looking for a Paralegal. This position could be based out of our Cardiff or Ross-on-Wye office.
This is a unique opportunity to join a niche team where no two days are the same. The team acts for clients on a wide range of agricultural matters, including tenancy issues, property disputes, farming and supply chain contracts, environmental issues, and regulatory problems.
Responsibilities of a Paralegal:
* Provide legal support to the designated senior lawyer and act as a legal resource providing help where required.
* Draft legal documents using appropriate precedents and templates.
* Undertake legal research, using appropriate methods and sourcing, presenting the results in an accurate and timely manner.
* Manage deadlines effectively.
* Undertake legal processes, under supervision, such as routine file management including file opening and billing.
* Take an active role with the Paralegal and Trainee (PT) group and attend networking events or careers fairs to provide appropriate support as required.
* Promote the firm through social media channels such as Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
* Ensure all work complies with risk management policies and procedures, in line with GDPR.
About You
As a Paralegal, you will need to have:
* Legal qualification, preferably post LPC or working towards.
* Client service focus.
* Ability to work as an effective team member and offer support to peers where required.
* Excellent organisational capability with strong attention to detail.
* IT literacy and accurate typing capability.
