Job Description:
Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer? This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join a successful leader in the Aerospace industry. You will ensure the delivery of Manufacturing activities in support of the Business whilst complying with procedures in order to programme manage and execute manufacturing engineering tasks.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AS CONFIGURATION MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
Your main activities will include, but not be limited to:
1. Reporting back to Operations for the various Products / Programs.
2. Attendance at the CREC / CIB / CCB.
3. Impact the design changes for estimated hours of embodiment (NRC & RC) for Production and Manufacturing Engineering.
4. Liaising with various aircraft operation departments in obtaining - material leadtimes & scrap cost / impact to production / schedule.
5. Amendments to the FAST HELI Assy.
6. Input to the departmental resource and workload meetings.
7. Provide information to support an impact analysis for the efficient introduction of change.
8. Represent Manufacturing Engineering in assessing the ease of manufacture in Design.
9. To provide estimates of production times to enable accurate capacity planning and cost estimating.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
1. Educated to at least ONC, preferably HNC or equivalent in an Engineering discipline and/or a time served apprenticeship.
2. Team working with good communicating with influencing skills.
3. A sound understanding of manufacturing technology.
4. Experience in working with CATIA (V5), ENOVIA and Smarteam or similar Modelling system.
5. A working knowledge of SAP (4HANA) is desirable but not essential.
6. Understand the principles of Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
7. Familiar with the use of Microsoft software packages, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
8. Project management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
9. Familiar with an Engineering change and documentation process.
10. A practical and logical approach to problem solving.
11. Engineering background from an Aerospace or high integrity manufacturing environment.
