The Role:
The Digital Project Manager will deliver an agreed portfolio of IT projects within an overall business change program across multiple regions. The Digital Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating development and delivery with multiple technical product teams in our central GIS function, as well as coordinating with regional IT and business teams. Detailed technical knowledge of any of our products is not required as the various GIS product teams provide that.
The successful applicant will be an established project manager with extensive solution delivery and change management experience. Much of the role will involve high profile strategic initiatives with change across many products and will require change in multiple business units.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver an agreed portfolio of products including planning & prioritising work with central GIS product teams to ensure the right products are available at the right time for the business to test and deploy.
* Follow corporate standards in how projects are governed, managed, delivered, tracked and benefits realised.
* Build outstanding relationships with appropriate GIS product teams, in country IT teams ensuring requirements are planned into their product team roadmaps each quarter. Understand and communicate product team roadmaps to program stakeholders.
* Shape and drive projects, manage their delivery and ensure that any impacts on time or cost and subsequent scope impacts are assessed and appropriately communicated. Ensure projects stay on budget within the agreed timeframe for delivery.
* Manage project issues, risks and initiate corrective actions and mitigation plans as appropriate.
* Deliver all necessary documentation required for projects to pass through IT gateways.
* Provide day to day direction to all resources involved, specifically providing guidance advice and input as required to work stream leads.
* Support the Business Lead in building commitment to projects through appropriate communication and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements:
* Experience of successful setting up and managing delivery of large-scale projects.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to establish rapport, credibility and relationships at a senior level.
* Experience of transforming the customer experience (ideally in a service sector).
* Experience of delivering through intelligent technology systems (i.e. Avaya, net promoter score).
