Having a real passion and understanding for all workplace safety and compliance protocols is a key element to this hands-on role. It requires dedication, as you will be instrumental in implementing and developing all legally required health and safety practices throughout Manufacturing.
You will play a pivotal role when joining this established team, from overseeing a variety of important and necessary safety procedures, including department support, information and training, to updating and creating accurate files and records. This role is vital to ensure all legal and regulatory requirements are being adhered to throughout.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Updating training records
* Updating Health and Safety files on Drives
* Working with all departments across all the sites in the Poole area
* Collaborating with other Manufacturing Support teams
* Arranging compliance testing and updating records to include Fire, DSEAR, Asbestos, legionella, Racking, air sampling and Health Surveillance
* General office duties
* Liaise with HSE when required
* Managing Specsavers vouchers
* Review, update and create COSHH assessments
* Providing H&S guidance and support to management and staff daily
* Conducting H&S Audits
* Updating and creating risk assessments & implementing any control measures required
* Coordinating First Aid and Fire Marshal Training & any additional H&S training (racking inspector, DSEAR, PUWER etc)
* Maintaining a compliance log and ensuring records are up to date (fire extinguishers, PAT and FWT, fire alarm certs)
* Logging accidents and if necessary, investigating accidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences & implementing control measures required
* RIDDOR reporting
* Writing up standard operating procedures and machinery check sheets
* Attend and contribute to meetings ie breakfast club, circle meetings, capex etc
Essential skills:
* NEBOSH General Certificate - compulsory
* Experience of working across multiple sites
* To communicate confidently and clearly via telephone, email and face to face
* Great computer skills
* Be able to work independently and as part of a team
* Proactive approach to problem solving
* An ability to organise and prioritise own workload
* Good English – written and spoken
