Job overview
We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for the position for a Clinical Lead, within North Cumbria West Community Treatment Team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic person to develop their clinical and leadership skills while supporting to develop services across the adult treatment pathways.
The successful candidate will work part of the collective leadership team across North Cumbria.
This is an exciting time as we move towards the transformation of community services in line with the Community Mental Health Framework, with a greater focus on holistic care and the needs of the whole person, linking in with community and voluntary service partners, primary care services and the local authority to support a sustainable recovery journey with our service users, their families and carers.
The post holder will demonstrate experience and ability in multiagency working, service development and have an understanding of the Long term plan and community transformation.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible and accountable for ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and efficient care to Service users as allocated within the designated pathway.
To be responsible and accountable for the delivery of effective and high quality evidence based treatment packages within the Pathway.
Provide clinical advice, leadership and supervision to staff.
Contribute to Appraisal and Personal Development of staff.
Identify and organise the delivery of appropriate clinical training, in order to ensure the highest standard of evidence based clinical interventions are provided based on care pathway packages.
Demonstrate clinical excellence in relation to clinical reasoning and decision making when managing complex cases.
Lead on and ensure robust and timely Clinical Audit.
Lead on team development and other practitioner performance where/if applicable.
The post holder will be expected to join the Point of Contact rota which does include the occasional weekend and evening shifts.

Skills and Competencies
Essential criteria
* Ability to demonstrate leadership skills/delegation.
* Excellent communication skills and liaison skills
* Evidence of working under pressure
* Experience of working in MDT
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
* Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team using a community based approach.
* Coordinating and supporting staff in the day to day provision of clinical services.
* Proven ability to manage a clinical caseload in a flexible manner as required.
* Experience and ability to provide clinical supervision for evidence based practice
Desirable criteria
* experience of working with families / carers
* experience of auditing and implementing action plans where required
Education & Qualifications
Essential criteria
* Registered Mental Health Nurse/ Registered Learning Disability Nurse (as appropriate) or equivalent relevant professional qualification
* Mentor /teaching qualification
* Relevant Clinical Training and post graduate Qualification
Desirable criteria
* Therapy qualification (i.e. CBT / Family Therapy)
