We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Tissue Viability Nurse (TVN) to lead the Tissue Viability team in Barnet. As the Clinical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in fostering integrated working between community nurses, unplanned care teams, inpatient services, and other stakeholders. Your leadership will drive seamless care delivery, ensuring that patients benefit from a coordinated approach to tissue viability, wound care, and pressure ulcer prevention. You will be an essential part of shaping the future of community-based healthcare, building strong partnerships with local healthcare providers, and engaging with the community to enhance patient outcomes. You'll be supported with full orientation, continuous professional development, and opportunities to participate in NCL and ICB projects aimed at improving cross-sector collaboration.
Main duties of the job
1. Leadership and Integration: Provide expert clinical and professional leadership in tissue viability, while fostering integrated working with community nurses, inpatient services, and local healthcare providers to deliver high-quality care across all settings.
2. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders, including unplanned care services, to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to tissue viability and wound management for our patients.
3. Community Engagement: Engage with the local community and external partners to enhance care and build relationships that improve patient access to seamless, integrated healthcare services.
4. Specialist Support and Innovation: Lead nurse-led services in line with national healthcare agendas, focusing on innovation in complex wound care and pressure ulcer prevention. You will also lead on education and training to ensure continuous improvement in clinical standards across the wider community.
5. Governance and Quality Assurance: Ensure that governance processes are adhered to across all aspects of care within tissue viability and take an active role in improving the quality of care through audits, projects, and implementation of best practices.

* Registered Nurse with current UK NMC registration
* Appropriate teaching certificate or extensive teaching experience.
* Relevant first degree.
* Master's degree or evidence of ongoing relevant postgraduate courses associated with wound care /equivalent experience to Master's degree.
* Evidence of teaching demonstrated by a suitable qualification or accredited experience.

* Evidence of leadership / management duties carried out in previous role

* Current experience in Tissue Viability at senior level.
* Experience of managing complex wounds
