About The Role
We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
Warwick Sport are looking to recruit a Sports Engagement Officer to support the growth and development of their Warwick Active Wellbeing Programme to further increase participation across the student and staff population.
This role will provide inclusive opportunities for the student, staff, and local community population to participate in a number of social, casual, and semi-competitive sports opportunities.
The programme will be aimed at increasing regular participation across the university community and developing projects that are tailored to the needs and demands of the students and staff population.
The role will also include supporting and developing a pool of volunteers across the programme. Experience of creating new initiatives and organising programmes to increase participation are an essential part of the role.
About You
Alongside this we are looking for exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask and work under pressure, a passion and broad knowledge of sport and an individual who is a team player and highly motivated to achieve our vision.
In addition, you'll need to be adaptable and have a flexible approach to work, including availability to work evenings and weekends. Knowledge of Higher Education is essential and possession of an NGB coaching award is also highly desirable.
