SYSTRA are immediately hiring for an Architectural Technologist, based in our York, Leeds or Manchester offices. With a focus on delivering in the Transport and Sector; passenger stations, rail depots and energy from waste projects within the Architectural team SYSTRA benefits from being an integral discipline to this world leading multi-disciplinary transport design consultancy The Architectural Technologist is responsible for the technical coordination or various design packages under the stewardship of the project Principal Architect. The role will include technical development and delivery of design packages to ensure compliance with the project specific standards and client requirements. Responsible for the production of designs, drawings, schedules and calculations for design projects and managing less experienced colleagues in delivery. Take responsibility for allocated tasks and coordinate supporting staff as required. Responsible for co-ordinating multi-disciplinary design solutions during (typically) Technical Design, Construction and Handover stages of a project (Work Stages 4-8). Provide thorough review/critique of design information to ensure high quality output. Work to achieve the agreed targets regarding the effective delivery of projects to current engineering and safety standards, within agreed timescales and budgets. Responsible for the production of designs, drawings, schedules and calculations for design projects and managing less experienced colleagues in delivery. Competent use of appropriate industry standard CAD modelling software (REVIT) Direct and manage in-house architectural staff, other multidiscipline designers and Architectural Partners to meet both the both client, project and business requirements. Visit project sites as and when required with support of senior team members responsible for the project Provide technical assistance to site-based personnel. Lead / Be Proactive in project meetings CIAT or RIBA accreditation (various levels to be considered). Motivated team player who works well under pressure and engages with colleagues. Pro-active solution orientated approach. Multi-discipline design coordination and delivery of design deliverables for complex projects. Experienced in the use of Autodesk REVIT with a strong understanding of BIM modelling principles, including clash detection. Desirable but not essential, knowledge and experience of working in the Middle East and knowledge of RTA & Saudi Building Codes. Desirable but not essential, experienced in working on complex Transportation projects.
