Due to an increase in student numbers, the school is seeking dedicated, passionate, patient and resilient teaching assistants to join their team. The school has classes from EYFS all the way through to post-16 and we have opportunities all across the school. You will be placed according to your strengths and previous experiences. However, you may be asked to change classes at short notice, so it is essential that you are flexible and able to adapt at short notice. The school supports students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, complex learning difficulties and social, emotional and mental health needs. Therefore, previous experience with additional needs is essential. Key responsibilities: Supporting the classroom teacher in managing the class and supporting students in focusing and engaging in their learning Get the classroom ready for lessons Supervise group activities or work with students on a 1:1 basis, depending on need Provide a healthy and safe learning environment for children Build meaningful and long-lasting relationships to help students excel both academically, socially and emotionally If you are passionate, hard-working, empathetic and aspire to make a difference, this will be the perfect role for you Our client welcomes candidates from a variety of backgrounds.
