Secure Residential Support Worker Duration: Initially 3 months Hours: 37 hours per week Rate: £19 umbrella an hour (£15 PAYE an hour) Location: HailshamEast Sussex County Council are looking for a Secure Residential Support Worker to join their Children’s Services. Regular shifts: Early – 7.30am-3.45pm Late shifts – 2.15pm-10.30pm There will be an occasional sleep in requirement with a follow up of an early shift Responsibilities: Work as part of a team of Residential Support Workers to deliver high-quality childcare to the children placed with an emphasis on safety, nurture and achievement Bring a parental presence to the home and promotes an inclusive and positive working environment Ensure that children’s needs are met in line with their care plans and statement of purpose and function Attendance and contribution towards children’s meetings, reviews, handovers and debriefs Dispense medication in line with the Medication Policy and Procedure and supervise, administer and record prescribed and controlled medications within the home Requirements: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Ability to deliver a range of activities and engagement to children both on a 1:1 and group basis Behaviour Management experience and skills Knowledge and experience of child protection and safeguarding
