Business Manager at Elevation Recruitment Group - Transactional & Part-Qualified Finance
Are you an experienced finance professional with a passion for leading and developing a high-performing team? We’re looking for a Purchase Ledger Team Leader to join our growing business in Horsforth.
In this hands-on role, you’ll take ownership of the purchase ledger function while leading and mentoring a team of up to 4 people. You'll play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliations – all while driving continuous improvement and supporting the wider finance function.
Location: Horsforth, Leeds (with flexible/hybrid working available)
Team: Managing a team of up to 4
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support the purchase ledger team with day-to-day operations
* Oversee invoice processing, supplier statement reconciliations, and payment runs
* Ensure all transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner
* Develop and implement process improvements to drive efficiency
* Act as the key point of contact for supplier queries and internal stakeholders
* Train, coach, and develop team members to achieve individual and team goals
* Support month-end close and reporting activities as required
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role
* Strong people management or team leader experience
* A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail
* Strong systems knowledge (ERP systems, Excel)
* Confident communicator with a problem-solving mindset
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
