We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated individual to join the Corporate Nursing team in Swansea Bay University Health Board, as the Deputy Head of Nursing - Nursing & Midwifery Academy.
The Nursing & Midwifery Academy was launched in September 2023 alongside the Nursing & Midwifery Framework 2023-2026. Our vision is that Swansea Bay University Health Board is the place in Wales where the best nurses and midwives come to work, learn and lead their profession to consistently deliver high quality, safe, person centered care and deliver improvements that will result in better patient experience and improved outcomes. The post will require you to act as a key member of the Corporate Nursing team. Essential
* Registered Nurse/Midwife with Nursing & Midwifery Council
* Master's degree or able to demonstrate the equivalent level of knowledge, skills and experience.
* Post registration experience, experience in management in a senior leadership role. Involvement in clinical guidelines/policy development.
* Extensive knowledge of Professional standards and the Local and National Nursing Policy agenda.
* Extensive knowledge in Implementation and management of change and Multi Disciplinary Team Working. Contribution to formal and informal teaching and development of others.
* Understanding of the political agenda for Health and Social Care.

* Project Management Skills

* Experience of Continual Professional Development.
