Main duties of the job To provide day to day care for patients under supervision of a registered nurse which adheres to best practice, standards and guidelines, and contributes towards the patients care and treatment. You should have the vision and ability to help move the service forward, while getting the best out of your colleagues and team, and will never compromise on quality, treating others with respect and dignity. Person specification Qualifications/Skills/Experience Essential criteria To be willing to undertake an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mental health care provision, or to be working towards level 3 to be achieved within 18 months of appointment. Having relevant experience in providing care to patients with mental health needs. Previous experience within the mental health care setting. Ability to work under supervision Ability to communicate and receive information. Ability to maintain records To participate in clinical supervision. Ability and fitness to undertake physical intervention training. Ability to work on a shift rotation of days and nights over a 7 day period. Evidence of effective team working. To display flexibility to adapt to organisational changes as well as changes within the Unit. Desirable criteria Welsh speaker Knowledge of the principles of recovery for individuals with mental health problems. IT Skills. NVQ Level 2 in health and social care.
